Faculty Appointments and Advancement (FAA) promotes and administers IUPUI campus awards for faculty such as the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching, the Bynum Mentor Award, the Irwin Research Scholar Award, and the Chancellor's Professorships.
Successful candidates for the IUPUI campus awards for faculty will be honored at the Chancellor’s Honors Convocation on April 16, 2010.
FAA also serves as the IUPUI conduit to the selection procedures for system awards such as the President's Distinguished Teaching Awards, the W. George Pinnell and John W. Ryan Service Awards, and Distinguished Professorships.
Dossiers of successful applicants will be available on our website by September 2009.
In April 2008, Dominic E. Dorsey from the Black Student Union received the first ever Chancellor’s Multicultural Impact Award for his work promoting a campus climate where diversity is valued and accepted. We are pleased to announce that the presentation of this award to a student will become an annual event at the Chancellor's Academic Honor Convocation. Nominations for the 2009 recipient are now being accepted. Guidelines and nomination forms are available on The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion's website.
